Defensive lineman Lake Korte-Moore will be staying with the Roughriders in 2026.
The CFL club announced on Tuesday that the Korte-Moore, who was selected by the Riders in the first round of the 2023 CFL Draft (third overall), has signed a one-year extension to stay in Saskatchewan for the upcoming season. The 29-year-old from Ottawa has appeared in 41 regular-season games for the Green and White, making 29 defensive tackles, two sacks and three stops on special teams.

In his rookie season in 2023, Korte-Moore logged 13 defensive tackles, a single sack, a pass knockdown and one special teams tackle. The following season, he made 14 defensive tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery over 16 games.
Last year, during the Riders’ Grey Cup-winning season, Korte-Moore managed a pair of defensive tackles, a fumble recovery and a special teams tackle before he was sidelined with a knee injury.
Before joining the Riders, Korte-Moore spent four seasons at the University of British Columbia where he made 110 defensive tackles, including 23 for a loss, along with 10 sacks, a pair of interceptions, eight pass knockdowns and three forced fumbles over 34 games played.
“He was a Canada West All-Star in 2022 after a breakout season, logging a collegiate career high 48 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks,” the Roughriders said in a statement.
“Korte-Moore participated in the 2023 College Gridiron Showcase and posted the highest vertical jump among defensive linemen at the CFL Combine.”
