The Region of Waterloo is reminding residents that certain services and buildings will be impacted by Civic Holiday Monday.
Here is what will be open, closed, or running on a different schedule:
Administrative Buildings
The following regional buildings will be closed for the Civic Holiday weekend:
99 Regina St. West in Waterloo
150 Frederick St. in Kitchener
150 Main St. in Cambridge
Region of Waterloo Airport Administrative offices
Home Child Care Offices
All regional libraries will be closed.
Welcome spaces at 99 Regina St. S. in Waterloo, 20 Weber St. E. in Kitchener, and 150 Main St. in Cambridge are closed as well.
The Service First Call Centre will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Schneider Haus National Historic Site will both be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the McDougall Cottage Historic Site will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Transportation
Grand River Transit will be operating on its holiday schedule. MobilityPLUS will be operating as well, but subscription trips will be automatically cancelled. All GRT Customer Service Centres will be closed.

The Region of Waterloo International Airport will continue to operate.
Cooling Spaces
Two cooling spaces will be operating for those looking to get out of the heat. One in Cambridge at 150 Main St. from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and 150 Frederick St. in Kitchener.
Garbage
Regular garbage pickup will continue as scheduled, but transfer stations at both the Waterloo and Cambridge Waste Management sites will be closed. Residents are reminded to have their garbage out by 7 a.m.
Child Care/Senior Care
All home child care offices are closed on Monday, and licensed care will operate as specified by each provider. The region says for any urgent issues, you can call 519-575-4400.
The Sunnyside Wellness Centre and administration for  Sunnyside Seniors’ Services will be closed. All Community Alzheimer day programs in Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo will also be closed. Overnight stay will continue to operate.
