Angel Reese is coming off an impressive second season with the Chicago Sky. The 23-year-old averaged 14.7 points on 45,8% shooting, a WNBA-best 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.6 minutes per contest. This reulted in the league naming her an All-Star for a second consecutive season.

Reese wasn’t able to lead the Sky to success, though. Despite the 6-foot-3 forward’s strong play, Chicago still finished with a 10-34 record. They tied Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings for the worst record in the entire WNBA. The Sky missed the playoffs for a second straight year.

Reese has been keeping busy amid the WNBA offseason. On Tuesday, the former LSU Tigers star’s latest career move was announced.

Angel Reese to co-star in first Netflix series

Reese recently made her film acting debut for the Netflix political thriller “A House of Dynamite,” alongside Idris Elba. The Sky forward will now co-star in her first Netflix series. It was announced on Tuesday that Reese will join the cast of “The Hunting Wives” for its second season.

“Bayou Barbie ➡️ Chi Barbie ➡️ Trainer Barbie. Angel Reese will co-star in The Hunting Wives Season 2!” the announcement read.

The WNBA caught wind of the post and reacted with a two-word statement on Reese’s career move.

“We’re ready 🤩” the league commented.

Much like the rest of Reese’s supporters, the WNBA is also looking forward to her small-screen debut.

“The Hunting Wives” was one of the biggest hits on Netflix last summer. The streaming platform renewed the series for a second season. It brought in a handful of new characters for Season 2, including Reese, who will play a role described as “Trainer Barbie.”

The series is about a woman who moves to a small Texas town and becomes involved with a mysterious group of wealthy women known as “Hunting Wives.” Reese will co-star alongside Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, to name a few.

Netflix has not officially announced the release date of the series’ second season. However, the expectation is a late 2025 or early 2026 release.
