Bantamweight Cameron Smotherman fainted on stage after he made weight Friday for UFC 324 in Las Vegas.
Smotherman, 28, was scheduled to face Ricky Turcios on Saturday’s early preliminary card at T-Mobile Arena, but the fight has since been canceled, UFC play-by-play commentator Jon Anik announced.

Smotherman regained consciousness moments after passing out and was carried off the stage by his coach and UFC personnel, according to Sportsnet’s Aaron Bronsteter. He’s being transported to a hospital, per MMA Mania’s Alex Behunin.
Smotherman was looking to snap a two-fight losing streak against Turcios. The Houston-based fighter beat Jake Hadley in his UFC debut in October 2024 but has since dropped fights against Serhiy Sidey and Ricky Simon.
