The road to the 2026 CFL season has officially begun, and for local athletes, dancers, and cheerleaders, that means one thing: it’s time to audition for the Ottawa REDBLACKS Cheer & Dance Team.
Known for bringing electrifying energy to TD Place and serving as ambassadors for the “RNation” community, the team is looking for enthusiastic, talented individuals to join the squad for the upcoming season. Whether you are a veteran stunt cheerleader, a technical dancer, or a high-energy performer, the 2026 audition circuit offers multiple opportunities to train, prepare, and prove you have what it takes to perform under the lights.
This year’s schedule features a comprehensive selection process, including preparatory clinics to help candidates polish their skills before the official audition rounds begin.
2026 Audition Schedule
The REDBLACKS have released the following key dates for the 2026 selection process. All sessions are mandatory for their respective stages, and candidates should arrive ready to work.
Phase 1: Preparation
Monday, January 26th: Team Prep Clinic (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

Phase 2: The Auditions
Monday, February 23rd: Audition Training – Cheer and Dance (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Monday, March 2nd: Audition Semi-Finals – Cheer and Dance (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Phase 3: Semi-Finalist Development
Monday, March 23rd: Semi-Finalist Practice (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
