The Fit Mill, based at Lee Industrial Park off Rosewood Avenue, is one of 10 gyms nominated across East Lancashire, despite having a significantly smaller membership than many of its competitors.
Gym manager Nick Talbot said the repeated nominations continue to come as a nice surprise.
He said: “I think we have been nominated and got into the top 10 every time, which is a real shock considering our size.
“We are a personal training gym with just 150 members, so to have the votes to go up against gyms with thousands of members is really humbling.”

The Fit Mill focuses on small group personal training and supports people who may feel intimidated by more traditional gym environments.
Many of its members are over 40 and are either returning to fitness after time away or trying it for the first time.

“Most of our members are over 40, and either lost their way in fitness, or have never tried to get fit before and are afraid of feeling out of place in standard gyms,” Nick said.
The gym groups members by similar ability levels, helping them work towards individual goals in a supportive environment.
“We teach and support people by training them in groups of similar abilities,” he added.
“We help them keep track of their goals, no matter what they are, and keep them focused and motivated on what really matters in their life.”
The Fit Mill Blackburn has built a reputation for its community-led approach to health and wellbeing and has helped inspire members to take part in a wide range of activities aimed at improving both physical and mental health.
Readers can vote for their favourite gym by picking up a paper copy of the Lancashire Telegraph.
Voting slips are in the newspaper for two weeks, starting from Monday, January 19, with the winner to be announced next month.
The competition is open to gyms based in Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Pendle, Burnley, Rossendale, and the Ribble Valley, with the top 10 list featuring both small neighbourhood gyms and larger, modern facilities.
