Standards program recognizes the local hospital foundation for ‘excellence in governance, financial accountability, fundraising ethics, staff management, and volunteer engagement’
The Health Sciences North Foundation has been officially accredited by the Imagine Canada Standards Program.
In a Jan. 19 news release, the foundation said it was proud to receive the accreditation, which it called “the gold standard for excellence and accountability in Canada’s charitable sector.”
“This recognition reflects the confidence our community places in us,” Anthony Keating, president and CEO of the HSN Foundation, said in the news release. “Accreditation through Imagine Canada demonstrates that we are operating with integrity, transparency, the highest standards in the sector, and that every donor can trust their gifts are making a meaningful difference.”
Calling the accreditation “extraordinary” in the news release, HSN Foundation said the mark of approval from the standard organization recognizes the hospital charity for “excellence in governance, financial accountability, fundraising ethics, staff management and volunteer engagement.”
