Another driver and team have thrown their respective hats in the ring for NASCAR’s Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.

On Sunday, Garage 66 announced that Knoxville, Tennessee, native Chad Finchum will drive the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at Bowman Gray. Finchum and Garage 66 are still seeking sponsorship for the event.

The Clash is scheduled for Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX, but Finchum, as every other Cup Series driver save for defending series champion Kyle Larson, will have to earn a spot in the 23-car feature field by finishing top-five in his heat race on Jan. 31 or by placing top-two in the Feb. 1 last-chance qualifier.

What history of Clash at Bowman Gray says

Garage 66 fielded the No. 66 Ford in the 2025 edition of the Clash at Bowman Gray with driver Garrett Smithley. Smithley finished last (10th) in his heat race and did not qualify for the Clash itself.
