The Toronto Argonauts have released Canadian offensive lineman Darius Ciraco and American defensive lineman Derek Parish.

Ciraco played 12 regular-season games with the team in 2025, making one start at centre. He was a healthy scratch for two games near the end of the season.

The 29-year-old native of Burlington, Ont. was originally a first-round pick in the 2018 CFL Draft out of the University of Calgary. He has since spent four years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, one with the Ottawa Redblacks, and three with the Argonauts, dressing for 92 career regular-season CFL games.

Ciraco was named All-CFL with the Argonauts in 2023 and helped the team win the Grey Cup in 2024.

According to 3DownNation reporter John Hodge, Ciraco had a $20,000 offseason roster bonus due on February 1.

Parish made 32 defensive tackles, five sacks, and one forced fumble over 16 regular-season games in 2025. He was a full-time starter at defensive end.

The 27-year-old native of Houston, Texas joined the Argonauts as a free agent in 2024 when he made 21 defensive tackles, five special teams tackles, and six sacks as a CFL rookie.

Prior to coming up north, Parish was a seventh-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Toronto Argonauts finished third in the East Division standings in 2025 with a 5-13 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2019. Franchise quarterback Chad Kelly was unable to play all season due to a fractured leg he suffered in the East Final the previous year, giving way to Nick Arbuckle, who threw for 4,370 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions to be named the team’s candidate for Most Outstanding Player.

The Argonauts ranked seventh in net offence, sixth in net defence, and seventh with a turnover differential of minus-eight. The club’s leading rusher was Spencer Brown with 314 yards, leading receiver was Dejon Brissett with 907 yards, and leading tackler was Cameron Judge with 79 tackles. Toronto ranked ninth in attendance with average crowds of 15,109, which was a 0.1 percent decrease from the previous year.
