Veteran linebacker Kyrie Wilson is staying with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as the team announced they have agreed to terms on a one-year extension.

2026 will mark Wilson’s ninth season in the Canadian Football League; he has been in Winnipeg the whole time.

In 2025, he suited up for all 18 regular-season games and the Eastern Semi-Final. Wilson ended 2025 with 49 defensive tackles, with two more on special teams, three sacks, and two forced fumbles.

During his eight years with the blue and gold, Wilson has appeared in 73 games and has 206 tackles, nine sacks, one interception and three forced fumbles.

He has two Grey Cup championships, including his championship-sealing interception in overtime in the 2021 Grey Cup.
