Four-time 1,000-yard receiver Tim White has signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers following his release from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
It’s a one-year contract for the 2026 CFL season.
The 31-year-old caught 84 passes for 1,016 yards and seven touchdowns with the Ticats in 2025, finishing ninth in the CFL in receiving yardage. As a pending free agent, he was released by Hamilton on Monday to give him an early shot at the open market.
The five-foot-nine, 175-pound target spent five seasons in Steeltown and appeared in 83 career regular-season games with the team, making 383 receptions for 5,488 yards with 33 touchdowns. White reached the 1,000-yard mark in four consecutive seasons, earning four All-East Division selections and three All-CFL honours.
The Santa Clarita, Calif. native was the fifth-highest-paid receiver in the CFL last season, earning $224,800 in hard money.
Tommy Condell, who was hired as the new offensive coordinator in Winnipeg in December, coached White in Hamilton from 2021 to 2023.
The Blue Bombers finished fourth in the West Division standings in 2025 with a 10-8 record, qualifying for the playoffs as the crossover team before losing the East Semi-Final to the Montreal Alouettes. Zach Collaros threw for 3,048 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions over 13 regular-season games, going 6-7 as a starter.
The Blue Bombers ranked fifth in net offence, third in net defence, and eighth with a turnover differential of minus-eleven. The team’s leading rusher was Brady Oliveira with 1,163 yards, leading receiver was Nic Demski with 1,001 yards, and leading tackler was Tony Jones with 104 tackles. Winnipeg ranked first in attendance with average crowds of 32,343, which was a 3.7 percent increase from the previous year.
