LeBron James is on an offseason golf trip with his son and teammate Bronny James, according to Sunday posts on his Instagram story.
“Sr & Jr,” James wrote, followed by two crown emojis, on a video of himself and Bronny in a golf cart.
James wrote in another caption that there was “nothing like” hanging out with his son.
James’ posts come after he and Bronny were absent on Saturday from a Lakers press conference announcing Luka Dončić’s three-year, $165 million extension. The event was attended by most their Lakers teammates.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, James congratulated Dončić on his extension during a Saturday morning FaceTime call.
James is signed with the Lakers for one more season after picking up his $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 campaign. Bronny, who was selected by the franchise in the second round of the 2024 draft, has two years and a club option remaining on his rookie contract.
Although James hasn’t confirmed whether or not he plans to play past his upcoming age-41 season, at least some of his focus has been on a different sport this summer. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer first posted his golf swing on July 4 alongside a caption telling fans it was “Day 2 of officially trying this out.”
