Report: Falcons expected to release QB Kirk Cousins in March

The Atlanta Falcons are expected to release quarterback Kirk Cousins, according to Josh Kendall and Jeff Howe of The Athletic on Thursday.

Cousins had his contract restructured and have until March 13 to release him before he is owed a $67.9 million guarantee vests for 2027.

This comes just two years into a four-year, $180-million deal Cousins signed with the Falcons in 2024.
