The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing some brotherly love to L.A.

The Dodgers already employed a right-handed pitcher named River Ryan. Now they’ve signed his brother, another righty pitcher, Ryder Ryan.

The news came from The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya on Thursday.

If Ryder Ryan makes the MLB roster, he’ll make $800,000, per Ardaya.

River is the younger brother, 27 years old. He pitched in four games for the Dodgers in 2024, his only action at the MLB level, putting up a 1.33 ERA.

Ryder, 30, has thrown in 16 games at the MLB level, with Seattle in 2023 and then Pittsburgh in 2024. Overall, he has a 5.40 ERA at the MLB level.

The brother duo is from North Carolina.

Ryder went to the University of North Carolina and was a 30th-round pick by Cleveland in the 2016 MLB Draft.

River went to the smaller UNC-Pembroke, and he was an 11th-round pick by the Padres in the 2021 MLB Draft.

Now, they’ve both found their way to the Dodgers organization.

There’s a decent chance they both open the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, which would be cool.

It’d obviously be even cooler if they both found their way to the Dodgers’ MLB bullpen.
