Area Prep Soccer Report for Friday, Jan. 30
In boys prep soccer action Thursday, Northlake Christian edged Episcopal 1-0 at home.
Steve Tujague provided the margin of victory with the lone goal while Owen Ehrhardt pitched a shutout in goal.
The Wolverines (15-4-3) have not lost a match in a month.
Northlake Christian, second in the Division IV power ratings, will play at Covington Saturday.
Ben Franklin handled Country Day 7-1 at home.
The Falcons played a complete game with seven different players scoring goals, including Julien Elmore, Silas Meister, Tenzin Legshe, Micah Robert, Lewis Preau, Max Klump and Luke Meinig.
Sophomore Mauricio Gonzales assisted on three goals and now has 11 assists on the season, along with 10 goals.
Ben Franklin (12-5-1) returns to action at St. Paul’s Saturday.
The Cajuns (11-4-2) will host Patrick Taylor Monday.
