A Toronto man is accused of making online threats towards a mosque in Pickering.

Durham Regional Police said the RCMP shared information on Wednesday about threats made to the Ahmadiyya Durham Mosque Baitul Mahdi located on Salem Road, south of Highway 7.

Following an investigation, police identified a suspect and on Thursday, he was arrested without incident.

He has been identified as 65-year-old Ivan John Mujan. He has been charged with uttering threats.

Police said Mujan was released on an undertaking.
