The BC Lions announced on Friday the signing of wide receivers Demetric Felton and Bryan Thompson.
WR Demetric Felton – UCLA (5’10, 200 lbs)
Demetric Felton played in 42 games with 17 starts for UCLA from 2016 to 2020, rushing 233 times for 1,101 yards (4.73 average) and 7 touchdowns. He also recorded 99 receptions for 958 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also returned 26 kickoffs for 611 yards (23.5 average) and a touchdown.
In his final season, he rushed 132 times for 668 yards (5.06 average) and 5 touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 159 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was named First Team All-Pac 12 by Pro Football Focus in 2020.
Felton was drafted in the sixth round (211th overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2021 NFL Draft and would play in 16 games that season with 2 starts. He rushed 7 times for 24 yards and caught 18 passes for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns in his rookie season. He played in 8 games for Cleveland in 2022, catching 2 passes for 8 yards.
Felton was impactful on special teams while with Cleveland, returning 39 punts for 269 yards (6.9 average) and 10 kickoffs for 183 yards (18.3 average).
He was on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad in 2023 and spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears in the 2024 training camp.
WR Bryan Thompson – Arizona State (6’1, 195 lbs)
Bryan Thompsn began his collegiate career with Utah where he played in 33 games from 2017 to 2020 with 13 starts. He recorded 33 catches for 756 yards and 4 touchdowns with Utah. He then transferred to Arizona State, where he played in 22 games with 15 starts from 2021 to 2022. He caught 38 passes for 507 yards with Arizona State.
Thompson signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 202,3 where he spent the season on the practice squad. He played in 3 preseason games in 2023, recording 2 catches for 11 yards. He was waived from injured reserve after sustaining a hamstring injury in August of 2024.
