Aryna Sabalenka will compete in her fourth straight Australian Open final on Saturday as she pursues her fifth Grand Slam crown. The Belarusian tennis star claimed consecutive Melbourne titles in 2023 and 2024.

She came up short last year against Madison Keys and now seeks retribution against Elena Rybakina. Sabalenka will receive support from her significantly older partner, Georgios Frangulis, in the final as he takes his spot in her private box. Frangulis has amassed millions through his business, Oakberry acai, and has been romantically linked with the 27-year-old since 2024. The Oakberry CEO is 37 years old, which is a decade older than Sabalenka.

The age gap appears to cause no problems as the tennis ace frequently expresses her gratitude to Frangulis during her many victory speeches. Following her Brisbane International victory in 2025, Sabalenka acknowledged his backing was “priceless” as she strives to add more major trophies to her collection on the WTA Tour.

The duo revealed their romance publicly in May 2024 after being photographed at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Spectators witnessed the pair in the Haas garage, which they could access due to Oakberry’s sponsorship of the Formula 1 team.

This partnership stunned the globe as it emerged mere weeks following the devastating announcement of Sabalenka’s ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov’s death. The former professional ice hockey player tragically perished after plummeting from a hotel balcony in March 2024.

Revealing her emotions at the time, Sabalenka said: “While we were no longer together, my heart is broken.”

Sabalenka secured a brand partnership with Frangulis’ company before their romance became public, prior to her second Australian Open triumph in January 2024. The CEO praised his future partner in a statement regarding the agreement as he said: “Aryna Sabalenka is a great example of the future of tennis and we are working closely with her to create some really exciting things over the years.”

Frangulis started Oakberry in 2016 and currently operates stores across more than 35 countries that specialise in acai smoothies and bowls. It’s believed the businessman possesses a net worth ranging from £60million to £80m through his acai enterprise.

Frangulis might have pursued an entirely different path before Oakberry’s inception as he studied law at Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado. Currently, he splits his time between his empire and supporting Sabalenka, who admits he has provided a lot of support.

Speaking to People, the Australian Open finalist said: “There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff.

“But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support and yeah, really happy to have him by my side.”
