Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for Jose Valenzuela vs. Diego Torres at Zuffa Boxing 02.

Tonight at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jose Valenzuela takes on Diego Torres in the Main Event of Zuffa Boxing 02. Valenzuela, 26, has a 14-3 record with nine career knockouts, while Torres is 22-1 with 19 coming by knockout. Torres is currently on a four-fight winning streak, while Valenzuela lost his previous fight to Gary Russell in March 2025.

Check out my best bet for Jose Valenzuela vs. Diego Torres at Zuffa Boxing 02 below.

Valenzuela does have three career losses, but he has faced tough competition. Two of his losses were to Edwin De Los Santos and Russell, both of whom are still elite fighters. Before losing to Russell, Valenzuela won two straight bouts against Isaac Cruz and Chris Colbert. His last victory came in August 2024. Torres beat Ridwan Oyekola via fifth-round knockout in his last fight in August 2025.

In this contest, Torres has a two-inch reach advantage (71″ vs. 69″), but Valenzuela is taller by one inch (5’9″ vs. 5’8″). After losing his last fight at Super Lightweight, Valenzuela is moving back down to Lightweight, beginning with tonight’s fight.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Valenzuela is a massive -800 favorite while Torres is a +500 underdog. Valenzuela is also -105 to win by decision or technical decision and +130 to win by KO/TKO/DQ. Since Valenzuela is coming off a loss and a long layoff, he must enter this fight hungry against Torres. If he pressures Torres and is aggressive early in this bout, a finish is possible. Eight of Valenzuela’s previous 10 wins have come by knockout. Valenzuela has a 13-1 record against orthodox fighters and should be able to frustrate Torres in this contest.
