David McGill is a 6’3″, 280-pound defensive lineman from Powassan who started in all eight games for the X-Men and recorded 23.0 tackles on the season, including 14 solo tackles and 18 assisted.
A 2025 AUS all-star, David is a 5th-year Public Policy & Governance student who averaged 2.9 tackles/game and had 1.5 tackles for a loss of yards.
McGill is invited to the CFL Invitational Combine in Waterloo on March 6. The top prospects identified at the event will advance to Edmonton for the CFL Combine from March 27-29.
The Powassan product is thrilled about the opportunity.Â
“I just wanted to thank Jesus of course, without him I couldn’t do it,” McGill told BayToday.Â
“It means a lot to be able to be invited to the CFL Combine, it’s something special for sure, and I’m very happy about it. And I had the greatest time at STFX, it was a great career, and I am happy I went. I will miss it.”
More than140 draft-eligible prospects are slated to showcase their skills for the league’s general managers, coaches and player personnel in March during CFL Combine season.
