The theme of this year’s Black History Month is Legacy in Motion: Honouring the Past, Shaping the Future
Sault Area Hospital celebrated the start of Black History Month by recognizing the important contributions made by Black individuals.
“February is a time to celebrate and honour the history and contributions of Black individuals, while recognizing the strength and resilience that continue to shape our communities and the health sector today,” the post said.
“At Sault Area Hospital, we remain dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment grounded in love, unity, respect and understanding.
“Together, we celebrate Black history in love and inspire the future.”
According to the African Caribbean Canadian Association of Northern Ontario, the theme of this year’s Black History Month is Legacy in Motion: Honouring the Past, Shaping the Future.
“We celebrate the enduring achievements and contributions of Black people, past and present, that continue to enrich and diversify communities across the world while inspiring the generations to come,” ACCANO said on social media.
