Super Bowl 2026 is almost here, and a new report has shed light on whether DC and Marvel Studios will have a presence at the event. 2026 is underway, meaning numerous big releases are coming up for Hollywood, including new projects from the DCU and Marvel Cinematic Universe timelines.
Deadline reported that Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailers are not expected to drop at the Super Bowl. As they also list how Warner Bros. is not taking part in the Super Bowl, it rules out trailers for DC Studios’ Supergirl and Clayface movies.
All four of the comic book film installments have wrapped principal photography and are in various stages of post-production as of right now. The Avengers: Doomsday cast is expected to be doing reshoots in the spring ahead of Avengers: Secret Wars filming in the summer.
Marvel Studios spent the latter half of December 2025 and the start of January 2026 showing individual teasers for Avengers: Doomsday in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The first Supergirl movie trailer dropped in December, showcasing Milly Alcock’s Girl of Steel in action.
Clayface, which will bring the iconic Batman villain into the world of live-action, will also mark the first R-rated DCU film release for DC Studios. The horror installment will star Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, showcasing how he becomes the famous DC shape-shifting foe.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is less than half a year away from its theatrical release, is likely the biggest surprise in what trailers aren’t being shown at the Super Bowl. As of right now, Sony Pictures has not indicated when the first footage will be released for the Phase 6 installment.
Supergirl debuts in theaters on June 26, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive on July 31. Clayface is set to open on September 11, while Avengers: Doomsday will finish the superhero movie genre’s 2026 on December 18.
