The Selma Bears boys soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over the Kingsburg Vikings on January 28 in Kingsburg.

Henry Cabrera and Jacob Platas each had one goal. Alexis Pacheco added an assists.

Selma then earned a 1-0 win over Exeter High on Jan. 30. Cabrera had the lone goal for the Bears.

They improved to 7-8-2 overall and 3-1-1 in Tri-County Conference play.

The Bears play Kerman High on Wednesday, Feb. 4. They then will play Washington Union on Friday, Feb. 6 and end the regular season on Wednesday, Feb. 11 against Reedley High.

The Vikings earned a 2-1 win over Central Valley Christian on Jan. 30 in Visalia. Jordan Otani had two goals in the game.

The Vikings will play Sierra Pacific on Wednesday, Feb. 4. They then will play Hanford West on Friday, Feb. 6.

Selma Bears girls soccer

The Selma Bears girls soccer team defeated the Washington Union Panthers 1-0 on Jan. 27 in Easton.

Nancy Becerra had one goal, while Merlina Gutierrez had an assist.

The Bears then earned a 1-1 tie against Immanuel High on Jan. 29. Starlette Ordonez had one goal, while Lacy Vasquez had an assist.

Selma defeated Hanford West 3-1 on Jan. 30. Ordonez had two goals to lead Selma. Merlina Gutierrez had one.

The Bears are 10-4-2 overall and 3-1-1 in Tri-County Conference Sequoia League play. They played Hanford West on Feb. 3. No score was available at press time. They then will play Exeter High on Thursday, Feb. 5 and end the regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 10 against Kingsburg.

Kingsburg boys basketball

The Kingsburg Vikings boys basketball team moved to 19-6 overall and 4-1 in the Tri-County Conference following wins over Washington Union and Sierra Pacific high schools.

The Vikings defeated Washington Union 65-36 on Jan. 27. No stats were available.

They then defeated Sierra Pacifc 76-65 on Jan. 29 in Kingsburg.

Kingsburg was led by Jensen Hirschkorn who jad 28 poimts and 16 rebounds. Peyton Swiney and Alex Hanzak each finished with 15 points. Clayton Warkentin had 11.

The Vikings played Immanuel High on Feb. 3. No score was available at press time. They then will play Central Valley Christian on Thursday, Feb. 5.

Kingsburg girls basketball

The Kingsburg Vikings girls basketball team currently sits at 13-10 overall and 3-3 in the TCC.

The Vikings fell to Exeter 53-28 on Jan. 28. They then defeated Washington Union 46-39 on Jan. 30.

Kingsburg fell to Hanford High 50-40 on Jan. 31. No stats were available for the games.

The Vikings will play CVC on Wednesday, Feb. 4. They then will play Reedley High on Friday, Feb 6.
