NASCAR’s decision to bring back the Chase championship format was met with applause from several drivers and a large portion of the fan base, but not everyone in the industry is in favor of it.

The format, which is still a 10-race postseason with 16 drivers racing for the title, eliminates postseason points resets and the “win and you’re in” system. Only the top-16 drivers in points after 26 regular-season races will make the Chase, and the Chase driver with the most points at the end of the 10-race postseason will win the title.

Kyle Busch shares his thoughts on the Chase returning

Two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch is one of those individuals who isn’t happy to see the format return.

“I thought we got away from it for a reason in the past, so I’m not real sure why we went back to it,” Busch said in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
