The City of Prince Albert is issuing a warning to users of Little Red River Park.
A pack of coyotes was spotted near the Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre on Monday afternoon around 2 p.m.
A public service announcement posted on the City’s social media said coyotes are generally shy but may appear at dawn or dusk and can see small off-leash pets as prey.
They advised pet owners to use a short leash of 6 feet or less, avoid walking at dawn or dusk, stay on well-lit paths and avoid dense brush and make noise to avoid surprising wildlife.
