The latest leaks about the S26 series indicate that the device will not have native Qi2 magnets. A leak from Nieuwe Mobiel indicates that these devices will be missing out on this pretty big feature.

While the Pixel 10 series are the only Android phones to sport Qi2 magnets, many thought 2026 would bring the dawn of other devices supporting this technology, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Leaks show that Samsung is developing cases that support Qi2 magnets, and suggest that without putting the magnets in the device itself, it’ll encourage customers to purchase these cases. Additionally, some rumours point to Samsung developing Qi2 accessories, but you’d then need to purchase these cases to work with these accessories.

Some have said that Samsung had planned on Qi2 magnets for the S26 series, but scrapped the idea, which would make sense, as to why the company started making these accessories.

And if this isn’t disappointing enough, the S26 Ultra’s S Pen will only launch in black and white, instead of matching the device like in previous generations. While the leak indicates there will be four colourways for the S-Pen, only the tip of the stylus that’s seen when S Pen is stored in the Ultra will have a colour.

Evan Blass indicates the S26 series will launch on Feb. 25, with the sales date of March 11.

Not a lot is officially known about the S26 series, but Samsung recently released details about its new privacy feature, which uses a hardware/software solution to prevent people from peeping at your screen.
