Nelson Peltz is speaking out about his son-in-law Brooklyn Beckham‘s explosive allegations against his parents for the first time.
When asked about whether he’s offered his family advice about “negotiating high-stakes situations, particularly playing out in public view” at the WSJ Invest Live event on Feb. 3, Peltz joked, “Has my family been in the press lately? I haven’t noticed that at all.”
The billionaire investor then told The Wall Street Journal’s lead deals reporter Lauren Thomas, “I do. And sometimes they give me advice. My advice is to stay the hell out of the press. I mean, how much good did that do?”
The 83-year-old, a cofounder of multibillion-dollar investment firm Trian Fund Management, went on to praise his 31-year-old daughter, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and her husband.

Three years after the Peltz Beckham’s 2022 wedding at Peltz’s Palm Beach, Florida estate, the businessman officiated the couple’s vow renewal ceremony.

On Jan. 19, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham put his famous parents on blast, confirming incessant tabloid speculation about a rift in the family. Opening up for the first time about his estrangement from his famous family after his wedding, Peltz Beckham alleged that they’d “attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name” and that Victoria Beckham “hijacked” the couple’s first dance and “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
In a lengthy statement that he rolled out in his Instagram stories, Peltz Beckham wrote that he has taken a step back from his family after being “consistently disrespected” as “my parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
The 26-year-old wrote that he does “not want to reconcile with my family” and is “standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Victoria and David Beckham have not directly addressed their eldest son’s allegations, though David made a cryptic statement on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” about trying to educate his children on the pitfalls of social media use and noting they “make mistakes.”
