A baby girl shocked the crowd when she stood up and walked for the first time ever during a crawling race.

On Sunday, Aug. 3, the WNBA posted a video on their Instagram of a baby crawling race that happened at a Las Vegas Aces game over the weekend. In the video, one baby quickly took the lead, swiftly crawling to the half-court line. However, once she got halfway, she stood up and began putting one foot in front of the other.

Taking her very first steps, the baby girl took the crowd by surprise as she walked the rest of the way and collapsed into her mom’s arms at the end. Shortly after winning the race, the baby’s dad spoke about the incredible moment.

“She’d been standing, but she hadn’t been walking,” the dad said in the video. “She just randomly decided to stand up in the middle of the [court]. Oh my gosh. Was not expecting that.”

In the comments, one person pointed out how the other mothers at the opposite end of the court were cheering for the baby girl as she took her first steps.

“I love the other mamas sharing in the joy! 🥹,” one person said.

Others loved how much the rest of the stadium cheered as the baby girl stood up, supporting her in the milestone moment.

“The whole stadium was balancing for that baby!! Absolutely adorable… ☺️,” a commenter wrote. “Watching a different part of the crowd every time. Not one grump in the group. Everybody cheering that baby on. 🥲🫠🥹,” another shared.
