At the Chancellor estate, Tessa supports Abby, who is sure Dom will be home soon. Devon appears and is glad to hear that Sharon is on the way.
Tessa tells Abby and Devon that what Mariah is doing is horrible and can’t be excused; she knows right from wrong. Abby and Devon have a conversation about him controlling his anger… if he lets it out, he may not be able to put it back in. Devon warns that if Mariah’s had some kind of serious breakdown, Dom could be in real danger right now.
They discuss making an appeal to he public that Dom and Mariah might hear, and Tessa suggests they publish it on her video reel. Abby sits and speaks into the camera, telling Dom they’re waiting for him to come home. “I am your mommy.”
Mad Mariah
In her car, Mariah is asleep in the driver’s seat. She awakens and calls for Bowie, before noticing that Dom got out of the car. She tells herself he’s tried to walk home because he doesn’t want to be with her. As it turns out, that was a nightmare. When she actually wakes up, Dom’s safely asleep in the back seat.
Mariah decides the dream was a message. “You were gone and I was heartbroken.” She’ll never let go of him ever again. She hopes Dom will wake up and understand why they have to be together. It will all be OK.

Mariah talks to Dom about how much she loved him when she carried him. Everything went wrong the day she let him go… nothing has been right since them. “I am your mommy and you are my son.” Calling him Bowie, Mariah hopes this will seep into his brain while he sleeps.
Phyllis Erupts
Phyllis arrives at the train and finds Cane leaving Lily a message about a threat. She asks if Victor’s threatening his family. Cane fills her in on The Mustache’s ultimatum. Phyllis scoffs… he won’t do anything to Neil’s family and Nikki would never allow it.

Cane can’t take that risk. Phyllis asks, “What are you saying to me right now? You’re going to give up?” She hollers that he’ll give the company back over her dead body!
Cane concedes it could be a bluff, but he needs to find out for himself. Phyllis urges Ashby to call his bluff. Nothing will happen. Cane asks what she’d do if it were Summer or Daniel. Phyllis insists Victor won’t harm Neila’s family. “This is a lie! He’s playing you!” Cane takes off.
Trust Victor
At the ranch, Victoria’s appalled to hear that Victor is using Cane’s family as leverage. None of them are keen on it but Victor put his plan into action anyway. Nikki had a way to make it work without anyone getting hurt, but Victor does what he wants. He appears and says, “You’re damn right.”
Victoria and Nikki ask if he has Lily and her kids. Victor barks, “They’re in no danger.” Victoria gasps, “So, you admit it?” Nikki demands to know if he has them locked up somewhere, warning she’ll fight back and they’ll have more problems than they do now.
Nikki points out this is all illegal… they don’t harm innocent people! Victor says they’re perfectly fine. “Stop questioning me. Let this plan play out!”
Daniel’s Warning
Phyllis finds Daniel at the Club bar, and he tells her breaking up the Newman empire was pathetic. Phyllis argues she did to him what he was going to do to Jack. He counters that she’s being as horrible as the Black Knight. Daniel worries he’ll do whatever necessary to get it back. Phyllis laughs, “Let him try.”
Sitting, Daniel warns that Victor will get his empire back and destroy her in the process. Phyllis confides that he’s already claiming to have taken Lily and the kids.
Let’s Get Physical
At the outdoor café, Cane confronts Adam and asks where the line is for him… when will he tell his father no? He alludes to Victor having his family and asks what kind of sick game he’s playing. “How could you help him do it?!”
Adam tries to dodge Cane, but Ashby reminds him Lily and the kids are Neil’s family. All Adam knows is that Cane declared war on a man he can’t even begin to predict. Cane levels, “Adam. Where is my family? What did your dad do with them?”

Adam tries to walk away, so Cane grabs him and seethes that he’ll do whatever it takes to get his family back. Adam snarks that Victor already told him what it will take. “So do it. Give him his company back.” Cane muses that maybe he should go after someone Victor loves. Adam dares him… it will be as if he never existed at all.
Help!
Sharon arrives at the Chancellor estate and vouches for Detective Burrow, who has officially joined the GCPD. She explains they’re not sure if Mariah is a danger to herself or the little boy. Burrow will do everything in his power to find them.
Tessa and Sharon fill Burrow in on Mariah’s trip to the clinic; they’re sure she wouldn’t hurt Dom, but can’t predict her behavior. Devon declares that she’s hurting Dom by doing this to him. He belongs with his parents.
The Final Scenes
Adam returns to the ranch and tells his family that Cane tried to sandbag him and threatened to go after one of their own. Victor insists everyone is safe. Nikki argues that Cane is reckless, which makes him dangerous. Victor is certain he’ll cave when he turns up the heat.

Victoria complains, “Daddy, this isn’t like you.” Victor declares that Lily is 100% on board. Adam gawps, “Why didn’t you tell us that?” Nikki wants to call her. Victor is handling this himself.
Cane finds Phyllis arguing with Daniel at the Club. Her son orders her to give Victor back his company… or she’ll never speak to him or Lucy ever again.
Cane strolls over as Daniel reminds Phyllis she begged him to forgive her after she faked her death. He tells Cane that if anything happens to Lily and her kids, they’re both responsible. He stalks off, and Cane tells Phyllis, “I warned you this was going to happen.” Phyllis is unbothered and complains about her kids being judgmental. She warns Cane that Victor is trying to mess with him. If he lets him get into his head, he’s already won.
At the Chancellor estate, Sharon updates Burrow on Mariah being raised in Ian Ward’s cult. Abby and Devon explain about the pregnancy and problems detaching from Dom. Tessa adds that things began to unravel when Ian came back to town. They need to get Dom away from Mariah as soon as possible.
In the car, Mariah tells Dom it was always supposed to be the two of them. She’ll die before she lets anyone take him from her again. “That is mommy’s promise to you.” With that, she starts driving.
