A new Amazfit smartwatch update is on the way to users of the Bip 6. The model was last updated at the start of January 2026 with firmware version 3.8.0.1. This release was meant to bring the BioCharge energy level monitoring feature to these users. However, some users flagged that this function was not working as expected.
The new firmware version 3.10.0.1 update, reported on Reddit, appears to bring BioCharge to all Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch users, replacing the older Readiness feature. This latest update, a 9.05 MB file, also includes other improvements for the wearable; the release notes are identical to those of the recent version 6.9.0.1 update for the Active 2 smartwatch.
Amazfit Bip 6 users get an updated version of the voice prompts played during a workout, as well as an enhanced Weather app, with an “improved” data source. There are optimizations for the algorithm behind the Sleep Score, and the display brightness adjustment icon in the Control Center. Plus, users will now automatically be returned to the watch face upon clearing all notifications.
Typically, updates for the Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch (curr. $79.99 at Amazon) are pushed to users in phases, starting with customers in the US, Canada and China. It is unclear when the firmware version 3.10.0.1 rollout will be complete.
