Former lineal heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson Fury is out of retirement, as he’s set to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 in England, which will be streamed worldwide via Netflix.

With his stacked resume, Fury is expected to be the betting favorite in the boxing odds board when it’s available at BetMGM’s online sportsbook. Meanwhile, Makhmudov is expected to be the betting underdog because he hasn’t won a major world title yet.

Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO victory for Fury over Makhmudov because he’s the heavier puncher and has great movement. Makhmudov is a flat-footed fighter and lacks head movement to avoid punches and counters.

Despite the long layoff of Fury, I still think that he has the power, footwork, and speed to put Makhmudov to sleep. Aside from head-hunting, Fury can also choose to target the body of the Russian contender, as he had trouble dealing with body shots.

During his fight with Agit Kabayel, Makhmudov struggled with body punches, which ultimately led Kabayel to keep attacking it until he crumbled. Fury can choose to stay on the outside with stiff jabs and one-two combinations or fight on the inside and attack Makhmudov’s body.

Tyson Fury’s Recent Fight Results

Fury was the former lineal heavyweight world champion, but before he announced his retirement in December 2024, he received back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk. Before that, he won his last three fights against Dillian Whyte, Derek Chisora, and Francis Ngannou.
