The moment Katie teamed up with Eric, Bill wanted to shout it from the rooftops. What better way to generate buzz about Logan, right? But Katie, knowing how volcanic Ridge and Brooke’s reactions would be, was like, “Er, let’s wait till the right time.” As if there would ever be one!

As the weeks have passed, Bill has watched in awe as his better half has worked her tail off on her new endeavor. And it’s also been killing him that she’s keeping her secret weapon… well, a secret.
As a publishing tycoon, Bill knows a good story when he sees it — and Eric’s defection to Logan is a great story. So great, in fact, that as a surprise for his wife he may start preparing the Eye On Fashion cover revealing her team-up with Eric.

Mind you, as eager as Bill is to tell the world that Eric’s working for Logan, he has gotten on board with Katie’s hush-hush-for-now approach. As he said in Thursday’s episode (recapped here), sales of Eye On Fashion will go through the roof as readers scoop up copies to find out how the partnership came about. But secrecy is key, so Liam must keep his lips zipped.

Even if Liam does, though, that doesn’t mean that the news won’t still leak. In fact, we could just see him getting distracted and sending the wrong cover to the printer, replacing the one for the new issue with the mock-up that Bill had made up to surprise his spouse. The next thing Katie knows, her big secret is on every magazine rack in the world! Her and Eric’s plan to reveal his involvement is ruined.
Would Katie see what happened as a terrible accident? Would she blame Liam for his major oopsie? Or would she be furious with Bill for having the mock-up made behind her back? “This is just another case of you not trusting my judgment, my instincts, my timing,” we can imagine her railing. “Maybe you haven’t changed as much as I wanted to believe!”
