The Tennessee Titans will enter the 2026 NFL Draft with multiple needs, regardless of what they do in free agency, and could go in many different directions.

While there are different opinions floating around about what the Titans should do in the draft, with the addition of Robert Saleh as head coach, it is easy to see the appeal of a defensive playmaker. That is exactly what defensive tackle Jerry Simmons wants the team to do by drafting Miami edge Reuben Bain.

Bain is a powerful edge player, and one that would make a lot of sense; the Titans need edge help, and Bain fits the bill. But he isn’t the only impact edge in this class, and draft analyst Tony Pauline sees Tech Tech edge David Bailey as a perfect fit.

“I think it’s going to have a significant impact. First thing you’ve got to do is you’ve got to look at that Mike Borgonzi, the general manager who came from Kansas City as the assistant to Brett Veach. He’s going to be the guy that makes the pick,” Pauline said. “But I know for a fact, I’m sure for a fact that Saleh is going to have a big input, and he’s going to want David Bailey. You’re going to want David Bailey with that fourth selection, the edge rusher from Texas Tech, because it’s a system fit.”

Most NFL draft analysts have started to zero in on Bailey or Bain for the Titans with their fourth overall selection, and it makes complete sense. The Titans have a significant need on the edge, and even if they add an impact player in free agency, they need more help at the position, which enters the offseason with more questions than answers.
