The UFC continues this weekend with another event, this being UFC Fight Night 266. The fight card will feature a total of 13 bouts, one of them being the sixth-ranked Amir Albazi against the eighth-ranked Kyoji Horiguchi in a UFC flyweight co-main event.
UFC Fight Night 266 is scheduled for Saturday, February 7 and will be held at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The action will begin at 5 p.m. ET with the preliminary card, which will be followed by the main card at 8 p.m. ET. The whole card will be broadcast on Paramount+.
Amir Albazi vs. Kyoji Horiguchi Odds and Betting Trends
The MMA odds for this co-main event immediately show that Horiguchi is the overwhelming favourite, currently listed at -375. This means that Albazi is a significant underdog, as he has odds of +300 to pull off the huge upset.
Other popular markets show that this fight is expected to go the distance at odds of -225, compared to the fight ending inside the distance at +155.Â
With that, the most likely result for this fight is for Horguchi to win by decision (-140). In the same market, Albazi is +500 to win by decision.
Amir Albazi
Albazi enters this fight with an MMA record of 17-2 and 5-1 in the UFC. He most recently lost for the first time in the UFC against Brandon Moreno by unanimous decision back in November 2024.
Albazi has shown both striking and grappling ability. He averages 2.72 significant strikes per minute and 1.39 takedowns every 15 minutes. That said, his striking accuracy is 34 per cent and his takedown accuracy is just 32 per cent.
The issue for Albazi is his absence from the UFC. He has not fought in a year and a half, which, in turn, could affect his performance.Â
Kyoji Horiguchi
Horiguchi enters this fight with an MMA record of 35-5 and 8-1 in the UFC. His most recent UFC fight resulted in a win against Tagir Ulanbekov by submission back in November 2025.
Horiguchi has established himself as one of the better flyweight fighters in the UFC. Horiguchi averages 3.64 significant strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 46 per cent, and he tallies 1.80 takedowns every 15 minutes with a takedown accuracy of 42 per cent.
He is also in top form, having won his last four UFC appearances, which could be the difference in this fight.
UFC Fight Night 266 Prediction: Who Will Win Amir Albazi vs. Kyoji Horiguchi?
Because Albazi has not fought in the UFC since 2024, there is reason to doubt his chances of pulling the upset, especially considering Horiguchi is in terrific form. There is also the fact that Horiguchi has the advantage in both striking volume and grappling.Â
Horiguchi has won five times in the UFC by decision. This includes three of his last four fights. It is also worth noting that Albazi has only lost in the UFC by decision, so chances are that he will be able to survive. Given that, backing Horiguchi to win by decision is the play.
