KOHALA COAST, Hawaii — No. 4 Pepperdine men’s golf sits in eighth-place following two rounds at the Amer Ari Invitational from Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club.
The Waves shot -12 as a team in Friday’s second round, the seventh-lowest score among the 20 teams in the field. Auburn continues to pace the field with a -47 team mark through two rounds.
Mahanth Chirravuri maintained a spot in top-five individually with a 70 (-2), sitting at -13 through 36 holes. Brady Siravo paced the Waves on Friday with a 67 (-5) to put himself in the top-20 individually, while Willy Walsh carded a 68 (-4).
Brady Siravo logged a birdie on the 10th hole to start his day, before carding back-to-back bogeys on 11 and 12. Siravo rebounded with three straight birdies from holes 15-17, shooting a 34 on the back nine to make the turn at 2-under. The front nine saw him card four more birdies on holes two and three plus holes six and seven, with his lone bogey on the front coming on the par-4 fifth. Siravo parred eight and nine to finish his round with a 67 (-5). He sits in 19th individually with a two-day total of 8-under par.
Willy Walsh started on hole 11 and went par-birdie-bogey to start, getting down to 2-under for the round with back-to-back birdies on 15 and 16. His final bogey of the round came next on 17, as he would log three more birdies on two, seven and ten to post a 68 (-4). After recording a 69 in Thursday’s opening round, Walsh currently sits in 27th individually at 7-under par.
Mahanth Chirravuri birdied his opening hole on 11 to keep the momentum going from his historic round on Thursday, before going +4 on the next two holes to put himself 3-over for the round early. Chirravuri battled back with three birdies on 16, 18 and two, bringing him back to even par for the round. A bogey on the fifth hole was then answered with his first eagle of the season on the par-5 seventh. Chirravuri carded his fifth birdie of the day on his final hole, bringing his second round score to a 70 (-2). He remains in the top-five individually at -13 for the tournament.
Luke Dariotis shot a 71 (-1) to get to 1-under for the tournament, placing him 70th individually. Dariotis was 2-over through his first eight holes after beginning on hole 12, with seven pars and double bogey. He then rattled off three straight birdies from holes 2-4 to get back under par, going on to finish with two more birdies and two bogeys on his final six holes.
Byungho Lee also got in with a 71 (-1), putting him 1-over par for the tournament in 83rd individually. Lee totaled 15 pars on the round, with a bogey on the 5th coming in between birdies on 13 and eight, after teeing off hole 12.
Luke Bailey carded a 68 (-4) competing as an individual for the Waves, and now sits in 33rd individually at 6-under through two rounds. Bailey fired in six birdies on the day, and kept a clean scorecard with just two bogeys.

The Waves will tee-off from holes 8-10 in tomorrow’s final round at 9:30 a.m. PT, paired with Georgia Tech, Osaka Gakuin and San Jose State.
