Defensive back Marc-Antoine Dequoy has retired from the Canadian Football League after five seasons with the Montreal Alouettes, the team announced on Monday.

Dequoy, 31, was slated to become a free agent on Feb. 10, and has elected retirement.

Dequoy played USports for the Montreal Carabins, and following a successful career there, signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers.

He subsequently joined the Alouettes ahead of the 2021 season after he was waived in training camp by the Packers in 2020.

A two-time CFL All-Star (2023, 24), Dequoy was the sixth-ranked player on TSN’s Top 10 free agents list in January.

Dequoy appeared in 73 games over his five seasons with the Alouettes, totaling 162 tackles, three sacks, 12 interceptions and three touchdowns scored. He appeared in two Grey Cup games with Montreal, helping them win the title in 2023.
