NFL legend Deion Sanders is ready to talk about what happened to his son this past season, but he is stopping himself from getting too real.

The Colorado head coach has been doing the media circuit at Super Bowl 60, which is set for kickoff Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET

Sanders’ youngest son, Shedeur, is a quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. Once touted as a first-round pick, he slipped into the fifth-round and has been fighting an uphill battle ever since.

His rookie season may have been best summed up by a social media post that emerged Saturday. A fan wrote a “Happy Birthday” letter to Shedeur, which Deion shared. The post lists several pitfalls for the 24-year-old since he left college, but the writer reiterates that it is all part of God’s plan.

The user writes, Shedeur was “humiliated on national television in front of millions by falling out of the first round on draft day.

“God picked you to be sabotaged, set up for failure, neglected, and abandoned by your Head Coach through OTA’s, training camp, and the first 10 weeks of the season,” he added.

The letter then takes a turn to point to times when Shedeur showed strength.

“Young fella, you didn’t bow. You did not break. You never threw your coach under the bus. You never attacked the media for their lies,” the post reads.

“You are now QB1. God will restore all that was lost. You will lead the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs NEXT YEAR, and God will receive the GLORY.”

The letter has been viewed 1.4 million times since Deion shared it.

Deion has been making appearances, including on ESPN Friday, where he said he would never coach in the NFL after “what transpired with my son last year.” He then added that he needed to stop himself from saying too much as he represents Colorado.

“Primetime” loves a camera, though, and has been dropping little nuggets all week. “You think I forgot!” He told Bleacher Report.

I’m sure he’ll have more to say in the future.
