The Calgary Colts have hired Elie Bouka as their new head coach.
The 33-year-old played 43 regular-season CFL games as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Stampeders, recording 24 defensive tackles, 15 special teams tackles, four interceptions, and one forced fumble.
The native of Laval, Que. played collegiately at the University of Calgary after three seasons at Cégep Montmorency, where he played receiver.
Over 27 games with the Dinos, Bouka recorded 16 catches for 309 yards and two touchdowns, eight kickoff returns for 157 yards, 20 punt returns for 206 yards, 29 total tackles, one tackle for loss, nine pass knockdowns, and three interceptions.
The six-foot-one, 205-pound defender started his professional career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2016, though he didn’t see any regular-season action. He also had a brief stint with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.
The Colts went 2-6 in 2025, finishing sixth in the Prairie Conference standings in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).
