Dustin Jacoby (22-9-1 MMA, 10-6-1 UFC) went into Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 113 at the Meta Apex in Enterprise, NV having scored two wins by stoppage in a row. Julius Walker (7-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC,) in his third fight under the UFC promotional banner, served as Jacoby’s adversary over the weekend.
It was a noteworthy night for the man in the middle of the action inside the fabled Octagon. Referee Dan Miragliotta, who oversaw the Dustin Jacoby vs. Julius Walker contest Saturday night, officiated his 500th career UFC fight this weekend with this tilt, becoming only the fourth UFC referee to reach said milestone. Miragliotta was greeted with applause from the crowd upon his introduction from Joe Martinez.
Although it took a while for Dustin Jacoby to get the desired result, the outcome was never in doubt to begin with. All you need to know about this fight is what happened in the second round of a scheduled three.
Dustin Jacoby Piles on Offense with Incredible Display Saturday Night at Apex
In the opening bout of the main card on Paramount Plus, Jacoby uncorked a vicious right-handed shot about a minute into the second period to sit Walker down. Thinking the right hand was enough to end the fight, Dustin Jacoby began to walk away after landing the shot, only for Dan Miragliotta to inform him that the fight wasn’t over quite yet and that he had to keep going.
Jacoby kept the offensive onslaught up with some nasty ground and pound strikes before Julius Walker rose to his feet to attempt to secure a takedown and flip the script. Dustin Jacoby was having none of that on Saturday night, however.
A barrage of elbows from Jacoby led to him taking full mount and continually landing heavy blows. Finally, with just over a minute and a half gone from the second-round clock on Saturday night, Dan Miragliotta rescued Julius Walker from further punishment. Jacoby scored his third win inside the distance.
Dustin Jacoby Eager for June 13 Fight at White House
One of the most anticipated events on the UFC’s 2026 schedule will take place in the back-end of this year’s second quarter. On Saturday, June 13, The White House grounds will serve as the setting for a one-off event to commemorate the 80th birthday of United States President Donald Trump.
After giving credit where it’s due in his post-fight interview with Paul Felder on Saturday, Dustin Jacoby threw his hat in the proverbial ring for that card.
“My mind is bulletproof,” Dustin Jacoby began. “Bulletproof confidence. Listen, man, I’ve traveled the world for 16 years, fighting professionally, representing this country through mixed martial arts, of course. I would love nothing more than get an opportunity to fight at The White House in June. I know everybody’s going to want to be on that card, but that’s three big knockouts in a row. I hope to God that’s a performance bonus.”
Jacoby closed his interview with a request to hit the golfing links with the President during UFC White House fight week.
“Mr. President, let’s get out there and play some golf, baby!,” he said.
Final Thoughts: Does Dustin Jacoby Deserve Spot on White House Card?
As of this writing, it’s Feb. 8. UFC White House is 125 days away on Feb. 13. While Dustin Jacoby was denied a $50,000 (USD) cash advance for the Performance of the Night Award on Saturday night, he won convincingly against Julius Walker inside Meta Apex.
While UFC CEO Dana White has yet to formally announce or finalize any of the contests which are to be featured on the UFC White House card in late spring, given that it was an electric knockout victory this past weekend, Dustin Jacoby pled an exceptional case to be on the show later on in the year.
Although there’s no telling if Jacoby will be offered a spot on the main card if he does, in fact, secure a spot on the White House event at all, the finish he delivered this past weekend is going to be difficult to ignore when the time comes for matchmaking to begin.
