From Community Living Huntsville
Some things change, some stay the same.
The long-running community talent show, Huntsville’s Got Talent, has a new name: Muskoka’s Got Talent.
“This name change better reflects the spirit of the event as it continues to grow and welcome participants from across Muskoka and area,” says Jennifer Jerrett, event organizer and Community Engagement Specialist for Community Living Huntsville. “At the same time, it remains true to its roots in shining a spotlight on local talent and raising funds for charity.”
Jerrett says the new name reflects the energy, creativity, and community pride that the event inspires – not just in one town, but across the region. “At its core, it’s still the same show celebrating the people and spirit that make our communities shine,” she says.
The event also continues its tradition of giving back, with all proceeds to Community Living Huntsville. Funds raised support the not-for-profit organization’s affordable housing initiatives for people with developmental disabilities and families who access its services.
From musicians and dancers to comedians, poets, and more, performers of all ages and skill level are encouraged to save the date and apply when Muskoka’s Got Talent 2026 contestant registration opens on November 27, 2025.
The Top 10 Finalists selected by the judges and the public will perform live on stage at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville in front of a supportive audience made up of friends, family, and neighbours on February 28, 2026.
Jerrett also says that this year brings other exciting updates – bigger cash prizes, a live People’s Choice vote during the show, and a secret judge hidden in the crowd.
First Prize is $1,500, Second Prize is $1,000, and Third Prize is $500.
