MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A Miami-Dade County judge ordered Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker James Pearce Jr. to stay away from his girlfriend, WNBA player Rickea Jackson, following his arrest over the weekend in South Florida.
Authorities said Pearce allegedly attacked Jackson on Saturday and then attempted to avoid officers who moved in to arrest him. He was taken into custody and appeared in court, where the judge set his bond at $20,500 along with the no-contact order.
Pearce posted bond on Sunday and was released from jail, according to court records.
