2025 CFL Combine list

TORONTO – Five members of the Calgary Dinos football team have been invited to the 2025 Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine Season, as part of the more than 140 draft-eligible prospects showcasing their skills at two events for general managers, coaches and player personnel.

Waterloo will be home to the CFL Invitational Combine on February 28. The top prospects identified at the event will then join the top-ranked class of 2025 in Regina for the CFL Combine from March 21 to 23.

All five Dinos selected by the CFL are from the vaunted defence that has been one of the top units in the country the past number of seasons. Gideon Agyei will head to Waterloo, while Ethan Ball, Nate Beauchemin, Daniel Flanagan and Liam Reid are all off to Regina.

Agyei just finished his fourth season on the field with the Dinos. The shutdown corner from Toronto finished the year with two interceptions – returning one for a touchdown – to go with 24 total tackles and five passes broken up.

After three seasons with NCAA FCS power house North Dakota, Ethan Ball just finished his first season in the Scarlet & Gold. Also playing in the defensive backfield, Ball suffered an injury early in the season but still finished the year with 26 total tackles, a pair of pass break ups and a fumble recovery.

Beauchemin was named the U SPORTS top standup defender after another remarkable season for Calgary. The safety hauled in four interceptions for the second straight year, returning a pair for touchdowns. Hailing from Kelowna, B.C., the First Team All-Canadian finished his fourth year with 41 total tackles, four pass breakups, four INTs, one forced fumble and one blocked field goal.

Flanagan also battled injuries this past season, limiting his time on the field to just three games. Despite the limitations, the fourth-year linebacker still tallied 13 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one sack.

Reid just wrapped up his fourth year on the field for the Dinos and was named a First Team All-Canadian for his efforts. The linebacker/edge rusher racked up 30 total tackles – 7.5 of which were for loss. The Vernon, B.C., product also had a career-high four sacks to go with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

The CFL Global Draft and the CFL Draft will take place on April 29.
