A change to the WWE commentary team for one of the company’s weekly shows has been confirmed due to a new role for one of the announcers.
Last week on NXT, following the WWE departure of General Manager Ava, Shawn Michaels announced that Robert Stone would be taking over as Interim GM of the show.
In addition to appearing in his previous role as Ava’s assistant on NXT, Stone has also been a commentator on WWE Evolve for the past year alongside Peter Rosenberg.
Today, Stone announced that tonight’s edition of WWE Evolve will be his last time as an analyst on the show.
He tweeted:
After the chaos that went down last night on NXT, it’s clear I need to put my full focus on my role as Interim NXT General Manager.
With that said, tonight will sadly be my final night analyzing the action on #WWEEvolve
What an incredible 1st year for the show.
