Our Organized Crime and Offender Management Section is investigating a targeted shooting that occurred late last night outside of a southeast Calgary restaurant.
On Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, we were called to the parking lot outside of the Cactus Club, located in the 7000 block of Macleod Trail S.E., after reports that a man had been shot while inside his vehicle. Upon police arrival, one man was located suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he has since been upgraded to stable.
Investigators have reviewed CCTV from the area and it is believed the victim was targeted as he left the restaurant. We are investigating this shooting as being organized crime related.
“Any time shots are fired in our city, it’s concerning, and even more so when it puts innocent bystanders at risk,” says Acting Insp. Ben Lawson of the CPS Organized Crime and Offender Management Section. “Targeted or not, this type of violence is unacceptable, and we have put resources in place to identify and hold these offenders accountable.”
Addressing gun violence and organized crime continues to be a priority for our Service. Through investigation, prevention and enforcement activities we have co-ordinated our resources to reduce victimization and enhance community safety.
Our efforts to address these issues rely on strong community support. We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time of the shooting to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
