Aside from that, DxOMark mainly criticizes group photos in which not everyone is in focus. This is due to the shallow depth of field of the 50MP f/1.7 main camera with its large 1-inch sensor. A variable aperture could solve this problem, but Xiaomi has opted against that feature.
