If you’ve been on TikTok in recent months (and keeping up on the latest fast-food trends), you may have seen folks across Canada trying to hunt down the viral Dairy Queen cupcakes. These treats are essentially a version of its beloved ice cream cakes, but individually portioned and served in a cup.
The treat was technically only available south of the border, but a representative from Dairy Queen has confirmed to Dished that Canadian’s can now get their hands on these cupcakes — but only for a limited time.
“You may have seen the viral buzz south of the border about DQ’s Valentine’s Cupcakes, with fans racing to their local stores to try the mini version of the iconic DQ cake. This had Canadians feeling a little left out,” shared Dairy Queen.
“Thanks to overwhelming social chatter and fan demand, some DQ Canada locations are offering the Cupcakes for a limited time as part of a secret menu.”
It’s important to note that availability will vary by store over the next few weeks, so people are encouraged to check in with their local store before venturing out to get their hands on these cupcakes.
Additionally, the cupcakes are considered a “Secret Menu” item, meaning you won’t find them on the regular menu, and you’ll have to ask for them at the register.
Dairy Queen Canada
These single-serve treats feature a layer of soft-serve, fudge, and a crunchy chocolate centre, all topped with icing. You’ll be able to order these in singles, two-packs, and four-packs, perfect for sharing (or enjoying all for yourself, we won’t judge).
Dairy Queen’s Cupcakes are available now until March 29, meaning if you’re determined to try one of these highly sought-after frozen treats, you should act sooner rather than later.
