There was good growth for O’Romeo on Saturday as Rs. 14.50 crores came in. The film had netted Rs. 9.01 crores on Friday and regular growth would have taken it to Rs. 12-13 crores mark. However, Valentine’s Day meant that there was more than regular increment in numbers.
Moreover, there is also India vs Pakistan T20 match this evening and there could well be a segment of audience which would have stepped in on Saturday. That means today the growth would be nominal and just a crore or two more could be added to Saturday numbers.
Still, any sort of growth is always welcome and that’s always better than a film staying flat. For urban multiplex audiences, the Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri film does have something good to offer and it’s them who would take the film well into the weekdays as well. With the current total standing at Rs. 23.51 crores, this Vishal Bhardwaj crime drama should close its first weekend around Rs. 38 crores mark.
