Four Vancouver Island resorts have earned spots in the top 25 of U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 ranking of the Best Resorts in Canada.

The annual list, released by U.S. News Travel, ranks properties based on industry awards, hotel class ratings and guest reviews.

Leading the Island contingent is Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge in Tofino at 12.

Naturally Pacific Resort in Campbell River follows at 14, while Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort places 20th and Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa in Victoria ranks 21st.

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, a four-star property with two critic awards, is described by U.S. News as offering “exclusiveness, luxury and gorgeous backcountry surroundings.”

Located in Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island, the lodge is accessible only by seaplane or boat from Tofino.

The property features 25 upscale tents, several with heated floors and indoor-outdoor showers. Recent guests praised the gourmet coastal cuisine, service and range of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing and wildlife watching.

In Campbell River, Naturally Pacific Resort ranks 14th nationally. The property includes a full-service spa, golf course, indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant and fitness centre.

Victoria also secured two placements in the top 25. Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort ranks 20th, offering waterfront accommodations overlooking the Inner Harbour. Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa, located north of downtown Victoria, ranks 21st.

The top-ranked resort in Canada for 2026 is Four Seasons Resort Whistler, which placed 1 nationally.

Located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, the resort was recognized for its “exceptional service and top-notch amenities,” though U.S. News notes valet parking fees are high. Guests cited mountain-facing rooms, spa services and dining at the on-site steakhouse as highlights.

U.S. News says its rankings are based on an analysis of expert opinions and traveller reviews, along with input from in-destination writers and editors.

To qualify, a property must be classified as a hotel or resort, have at least 20 guest reviews and typically hold a 4- or 5-star hotel class rating.
