Meghan Markle appeared to debut a new haircut at the NBA All-Star Game alongside Prince Harry

The Duchess of Sussex has previously experimented with different styles and even recounted getting an Andie MacDowell-inspired haircut as a child

Meghan and Prince Harry’s night out at the basketball event came after a date night ahead of Valentine’s Day

Meghan Markle let her hair down to sit courtside at the 75th NBA All-Star Game.

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry took in the star-studded basketball event at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 15, and Meghan, 44, may have debuted a new haircut.

As the couple made their way inside, Meghan was seen tucking back some shorter-than-usual strands of hair around her face, hinting that she may have recently hit the salon for a refresh. The piecey, face-framing layers could have even passed for curtain bangs, sweeping just above her jawline.

Meghan’s loose waves were a departure from her latest hairstyle, when she slicked her hair back for an elegant updo at the 2026 Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala on Feb. 7.

Meghan has experimented with layering before, but she’s also recounted how an Andie MacDowell-inspired haircut didn’t work out as planned.

During a 2019 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Duchess of Sussex recalled, “I was 10 or 11 maybe. The reason my hair looked like that back then was because I was obsessed with Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral, and all I wanted was that perfect curly little haircut. So I asked my mom, and we went to the hairdresser and got it, and on that first day I was like, ‘This is amazing! I look like Andie MacDowell.’

“And then it was as though everyone forgot to tell me, ‘You have ethnic hair, you are not going to look like Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral,’ and that’s what it ended up evolving into. And I went to school, and they said I looked like Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons. It was a real bummer,” Meghan explained.

Meghan and Prince Harry’s night out at the NBA All-Star Game, where they sat next to Queen Latifah, came after another Valentine’s Day weekend date night. On Friday, Feb. 13, the couple celebrated the holiday early with a dinner at Funke in Beverly Hills.

The upscale restaurant is a go-to spot for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and it’s also where Meghan dined to celebrate her 44th birthday in August.

At the time, she posted a photo from her celebrations on Instagram, writing, “This dinner last night at @funke_la with the culinary mastery of @evanfunke and his team is in the top five meals of my life. Extraordinary 🍝 Thank you for a standout dining experience.”
