Due to a lack of available physicians, the Emergency Department at the North Shore Health Network’s Thessalon site will shut down for a full day starting Tuesday morning
Citing physician shortages, the North Shore Health Network announced to day that the Emergency Department in Thessalon will be closed Tuesday at 8 a.m. to Wednesday at 8 a.m.
Anyone who requires urgent medical attention should call 911 immediately.
Ambulances will be rerouted to the following closest emergency departments to the Thessalon site:
Blind River site – North Shore Health Network, 525 Causley St., Blind River
Richards Landing site – North Shore Health Network, 1180 Richards St., Richards Landing
Sault Area Hospital, 750 Great Northern Rd., Sault Ste. Marie
